I called her office in DC. I'm a novice at calling senators, does it make any difference if you call locally vs.DC? Dos a local call carry more weight?
I've heard that calling the local office may make more of a difference but I haven't heard why that might be. The important thing when calling the D.C. office is to make sure they know you're a constituent.
It's usually best, on national topics such as this, to call the DC office and to let them know that you're a constituent. Local offices can handle this, but they will most likely end up forwarding it to the DC office simply because the local offices are usually for casework.
