Heath vs. Strimling

According to the Christian Civic League, there wil be a televised debate between Michael Heath and Senator Ethan Strimling on gay rights in Maine. It will be broadcast on Monday at 7:30 on Portland public access.

In my opinion, any time Heath's bigotry is exposed in a public forum it helps the cause of equal rights.

Argh! I would love any chance to see Ethan, but I'm stuck in Rhode Island all summer. Anyway this could be streamed over the internet, or could someone digitally record it?

I was on a plane during the broadcast....can you give an update as to how this turned out? Heath is the biggest shock, disappointment, outrage of my short time in Maine.

Maybe that's the best way to beat Olympia in 2006; encourage Mike Heath to run against her in the primary. All he would do is cause embarrassment to the Republicans and himself, and it would certainly weaken her chances.

here 's the schedule for channel 4. The program is called "Law on the Line".

For those of us who live nowhere near Portland, I hear that there will be a live debate between Heath and Pat Peard of Main Won't Discriminate at UMO in the not-too-distant future.
